In the early 2000s, Michelle launched her career as a staff auditor for a national Big Four accounting firm. She eventually left Big 4 and expanded her expertise by working for regional CPA firms in Louisiana and Mississippi, gaining valuable insights into the practices of small business owners. After over five successful years in public accounting, Michelle transitioned to the private sector, where her innovative ideas and strong leadership skills eventually landed her a Controller position working for a privately-held multi-corporation. In this role, Michelle managed accounting operations, led her team with dedication, and collaborated closely with executive owners to provide proactive tax planning strategies.
As a licensed CPA with over two decades of experience, Michelle has come full circle, returning to public accounting in West Monroe, which she now calls home. Today, she leverages her background in both the public and private sectors to deliver a personalized, client-centered experience. Michelle also serves as the president-elect of the Northeast Chapter of the Society of Louisiana CPAs, a role that reflects her commitment to the profession. She is committed to professional growth, embracing new technologies, and staying current with tax regulations and industry trends.
