Michelle's career began in the early 2000's at a Big Four national accounting firm. She eventually moved on to work for regional CPA firms in LA and MS, gaining invaluable experience in both audit and tax. After about 6 years in public accounting, Michelle transitioned into the private industry where she quickly worked her way up to a Controller position bringing innovative ideas to her management team and accounting staff, while managing staff and overseeing the accounting operations. She also enjoyed working closely with executive owners and suggesting tax planning strategies in advance of year-end.
Licensed as a CPA since 2003, Michelle has come full circle and returned to public accounting in West Monroe, drawing on her 20+ years of experience in the private and public industry to serve her clients with a personalized and meaningful experience. She currently serves as an officer for the northeast chapter of Society of Louisiana CPAs. She enjoys attending state and national CPE conferences to stay current with the latest tax regulations, trends, and technology and networking with CPA firm owners across the country.
